Grafenhausen
The Tannenmühle lies at the edge of the village Grafenhausen, which is officially licensed as climatic spa, on a plateau of the southern Black Forest, between 800 and 1100m above sea level. The village belongs to the “Rothauser Land” and has 2300 inhabitants.
From a touristic point of view Grafenhausen offers its visitors a large variety of seasonal free-time activities including cultural appointments like traditional celebrations, theater, concerts, and much more. The suburb Rothaus is not only famous for its brewery, but also for the Black Forest Museum “Hüsli”. This has gained nationwide recognition as being set for the TV-series “ The Black Forest Hospital”.
The village contains large nature conservation areas, with the picturesque Lake Schlüchtsee lying in one of them, inviting the visitors for a bath or ice-skating in winter. Moreover there are more than 200kilometers of guided hiking tracks and nature trails.
