The man-made lake offers a varied program for the whole family and is a only 35 minute walk away from the Tannenmühle.The newly created children's pool enjoys the small bathers especially gentle traps and plenty of shade also offer at the hot temperatures bathing pure pleasure.

Schlüchtsee

It is the perfect place to take a swim. The lake and its facilities invite leave a dangle for cooling and soul - pure relaxation! At the foot of the lake of Grafenhausen from can be reached via the promenade in about 30 minutes and from Rothaus over the Schlühüwanapark in about 20 minutes.

Schluchsee

The largest lake in the Black Forest region is only 10 km from Tannenmühle. Take a hike (roughly 18 km) around Schlüchtsee lake, or get to know the Schluchsee reservoir lake on the MS Schluchsee (free with the Hochschwarzwald Card). The Dreiseenbahn train runs hourly to Freiburg from Seebrugg (free with the Konus card).

Lake Titi

Roughly 30km from Lake Titisee. Take a stroll along the lake promenade; enjoy the unique view of the Feldberg from a boot (free with the Hochschwarzwald Card) The Badeparadies Schwarzwald aqua centre (partially free with the Hochschwarzwald Card) lies in the centre. A day-trip to Lake Titisee is fun for the whole family.

Ball track in Birkendorf

Nothing runs here without a ball. Along the two ball tracks, your ball can really let off steam in the great outdoors.

You can get the balls at the ball machines at the Oberholz parking lot and at the Naturena swimming lake.

Feldberg

The highest mountain in the Black Forest is only 30 km from Tannenmühle and is an absolutely fantastic place to visit in both winter and summer. In winter you will find everything that makes the Alpine-lovers heart beat faster. This includes cross-country skiing trails as well as 35 ski lifts with over 60 km of ski slopes. In the summer, the Feldberg beckons with idyllic hiking trails with breathtaking views.

For those who enjoy a sporty challenge, the 12 kilometre Feldbergsteig hiking trail is a wonderful one. The House of Nature [Haus der Natur], a climbing wall and Imp Path [Wichtelpfad] are also very much worth visiting. And the best thing is: All these attractions on the Feldberg Mountain are free with the Hochschwarzwald Card.

Freiburg

It is also lovingly described as the capital of the Black Forest. The gothic Münster is located in the city centre. The old city with its streams and beautiful narrow streets invite you to take a relaxing stroll. Freiburg is of course also a wonderful place to do some shopping. With the Konus card you can travel for free from Seebrugg to Freiburg with the train that runs once every hour.

Schaffhauser Rheinfälle

The largest waterfall in Europe is located in Neuhausen in Switzerland and is only a mere 37 km from Tannenmühle. You can choose to view the 150 metre wide waterfall either from one of the various observation platforms or directly from a boat, the view is always magnificent. It is also just a stones throw from the Rhinefall waterfall to Schaffhausen's historical old city.

Wutach Gorge

Wutach Gorge is also known as the Grand Canyon of the Black Forest. The various trails with narrow gorges and bridges are particularly inviting for those hikers who enjoy a challenge. The adjacent Lotenbachklam ravine, and the Gauchach Gorge [Gauchachschlucht] can't be forgotten either, and it offers young adventurers and those adventurers who still feel young, an unforgettable experience. Grafenhausen

Grafenhausen has a wide variety of different leisure activities to offer its guest, with spa concerts, festivals celebrating customs and traditions, an indoor swimming pool, as well as theatre and cabaret performances.

The romantic Schlüchtsee lake at the edge of Grafenhausen is nestled between tall pine trees. It not only invites visitors to take a relaxing swim, it is also an ideal starting point for a tour through the SCHLÜHÜWANA-Park (this stands for Schlüchtsee-Hüsli-Wood-Nature-Park.

The park offers nature for both young and old, many different types of art sculptures, as well as interesting and informative stations providing information on the regions nature. Directly behind it is the state-owned brewery Rothaus with its Rothauser Brauwelt museum, as well as the Zäpfleweg trail. In the museum you can learn about how beer was brewed in the past and how it is brewed today. The local heritage museum Hüsli [Heimatmuseum Hüsli] is also very close by, which was once an integral part of the Schwarzwaldklinik TV series as the house in which Dr. Brinkmann lived. All these attractions are also completely free with the Hochschwarzwald Card.
