There’s a great deal to discover around the Tannenmühle. Walk alongside babbling water on the mill trail or hike on our “Jakob trail", past the alpacas and up to the lovely Laurentius chapel.

Cycling in the valley of mills

There’s no better way to enjoy and explore the beautiful surroundings than on a bike. And in case your little ones haven’t yet mastered cycling they can sit in the comfortable bike trailer. We have 4 e-bikes available for rental all year round – and for bookings from 2 nights you can even enjoy 3 hours of free rental.

As a guest at the Tannenmühle, you can get a 10% discount on all mountain bike offers from Feldberg Sports. With the Red Card, you will receive a free guided E-MTB tour and a 1.5 hour session in the Kids Bike Camp.

There is also a bike pit stop in front of our hotel where you can get your bike back in shape if it lets you down.

A place to relax and retreat

Laurentius chapel

In 1982/83, the St. Laurentius chapel was built on the Anhöhe opposite the Tannenmühle and is dedicated to the patron saint of cooking.

Enjoy the views of our Tannenmühle valley and spend a few minutes in quiet contemplation with the patron saint of cooking.

Or set off on your walk on the “open churches/chapel trail” through the Rothaus region.

Floodlight sledging

In winter and if there is enough snow, we turn on the floodlights on our small sledging slope next to the mill! Guest can then enjoy floodlight sledging a few days per week. Fun for children and adults alike!

A family experience

Tractor ride

We can take you to the nearby excursion destinations by tractor and pick you up again afterwards. The trip in our tractor is a true experience – you won’t be able to sit still on this bumpy ride.

Surrounded by beautiful nature, these trips will remain a wonderful reminder of your family holiday. The tractor ride is, of course, free of charge.

Alpacas, sheep & co.

Petting zoo & trout farm

Our petting zoo is a particularly special experience - and not just for children. As well as our domestic animal species, you can also observe a variety of exotic animals.

You can see how fish are fed on our trout farm.

Playgrounds & shop

Whether it’s the adventure playground, water playground, mud kitchen or the playrooms in the hotel - there’s a great deal to experience here.

After playing, our young guests can enjoy a delicious ice cream from the shop in the mill museum.
