The mill museum

While time seems to stand still and only the constantly turning mill wheel breaks the silence, guests can enjoy a glimpse into bygone times. The mill was created solely from wood, without the use of any metal nails, and based on the original construction. Every detail and feature is the same as those from over 100 years ago.

Dive into the fascinating world of milling and experience close up how grain is turned into flour. Discover historical tools, devices and equipment that shaped the lives of our ancestors and let yourself be enchanted by the stories and anecdotes from bygone days.

The shop in the mill museum

Right next to our mill museum you’ll find our small but lovingly designed mill shop. It offers a range of regional specialities, exclusive home-made products, unique mementos and tasteful souvenirs. Young guests with a sweet tooth and older connoisseurs will find HofEis ice cream, coffee and “Zäpfle”, one of the best beers in the Upper Black Forest.

Delicacies & souvenirs

Just like in our kitchen, our products are high quality and regional. Our culinary offer includes seasonal pestos and jams as well as the famous Black Forest ham. You’ll also find biscuits, baking mixes and freshly ground spelt flour.

As well as various treats, you’ll also find self-made spelt, cherry stone and grape seed cushions as well as high-quality goat’s milk cosmetic products.
